Lucio Stramare

Glasses have always been a part of my life. I was born and raised in one of the main eyewear hubs in Veneto, where my parents worked in the oldest factory in town. Since childhood, I was surrounded by these objects, unaware that they would one day become my passion.

As I traveled the world, I began exploring flea markets and antique shops, searching for the history of eyewear. Each piece told a story—of design, functionality, and the creativity of those who crafted it.

What fascinates me most is the energy each pair of glasses holds: the mastery of artisans, the transformation of materials, and the balance between aesthetics and functionality. Observing a collection of eyewear is like traveling through time, discovering different eras and innovations.

For me, it’s a journey that connects past and future, tradition and new technologies, with the goal of reinterpreting and reinventing an object that continues to captivate me every day.

Giulia Stramare

I’m Giulia Stramare, Lucio’s daughter, and as a child, my favorite pastime was running around my father’s office, exploring designs, materials, and projects. Growing up “on a diet of eyewear,” this passion naturally became my profession.

With a background in linguistics, I’ve been leading the family business for four years, handling everything from financial and administrative tasks (yes, even the boring ones!) to creative challenges.

I fully embrace my father’s philosophy: Without tradition, there is no modernity or creativity. History is what gives us the inspiration for every new creation.

Designing collections, selecting colors, and shaping new ideas is what excites me the most. And while I design, music is always playing in the background (and yes, I never stop talking!). Plus, I bring a new plant to the office almost every day; at this point, it looks more like a greenhouse than a design studio! As my father says, “Ideas grow here like leaves.”

For me, every pair of glasses is a balance of aesthetics and identity, an object that tells a story. My challenge is to innovate while staying true to our essence, because this world is not just a job: it’s my home, my past, and my future.

Interpreting the soul of a brand and turning ideas into reality is the challenge that drives each of my projects.

After earning my degree in Design in Milan, I chose to specialize in the world of eyewear by completing the two-year Eyewear Product Manager program at Certottica in 2016.

Design fascinates me in all its forms, but I believe eyewear is the most intriguing product to imagine, create, and evolve. More than any other accessory, it defines a person’s outfit and is influenced by multiple factors: fashion, creativity, technology, color, markets, and materials. This product constantly fuels my desire to learn and explore new ideas.

Since 2018, I have been part of a company that I consider a family, working side by side with our clients to bring unique collections to life—creations that I often see as my own little children.
