Our knowledge of the history of eyewear manifests itself with a great passion for original vintage glasses. We research, restore and distribute historic glasses from new and unused stock (deadstock) with models ranging from the 1950s to the 1990s.
Our Punti di Vista Eyewear shop recovers vintage glasses that have never been used, restores them with the help of specialised artisans and puts them back on the market. This work for us represents a celebration of eyewear, the result of great artisanship and technical evolution.
Our vintage glasses are authentic; they respect the work, the people who produced them and value a tradition. They also remind us of brands that sometimes don’t exist anymore, but have given their contribution to the evolution of designer eyewear.
Let’s give life to a circular economy where an immense heritage is valued and recovered.
We make the concept of slow-fashion our own, contrasting ourselves with fast-fashion where everything is disposable.
To own a unique piece, knowing its history and loving every detail is an expression of creativity and freedom. Buying original vintage glasses then becomes a way and a necessity to be different and not conforming to one fashion.
Nowadays glasses are one of the accessories that best convey our appeal. They are a frame from which we see the world and through which the world observes us.
Drawing inspiration from the past, thanks to glasses each of us can invent a personal and original style. The vintage accessory is therefore a tool that allows us to delve deeper and express ourselves. Every vintage piece purchased has a story that needs to be brought to light and told, giving it new context in current fashions.
In our laboratory each pair of glasses are carefully checked before any event or sale.
Being new at the origin, they can in fact bear some signs of the times that have passed: dust, flattening due to storage, stiffening of hinges, dullness of some materials.
An expert craftsman, putting the same attention, care and skill with which the glasses were produced, returns it to its original state.
The glasses are washed, heated to give them a perfect shape and fit, the lenses are verified, the hinges oiled. They are then wheel polished and then finally re-polished by hand.
